Batavia American Legion elects new officers

BATAVIA – New officers have been named by Batavia American Legion Post 504.

They were elected in May to serve the post for 2017-18. Their titles and names are Commander Rick Kirk, Senior Vice Commander Robert Zeman, Adjutant John Barrett, Finance Officer David Jordan, Chaplain Don Nallenweg and Sergeant-At-Arms Nathan Gustafson.

The post also announced that it has sent three boys to Boy’s State and two girls to Girl’s State this year, and has awarded three Stanley Johnson scholarships to three Batavia High School students.

The Batavia American Legion Post will conduct its next monthly meeting at 7 p.m. June 20 at the Batavia VFW, 645 S. River St. (Route 25), Batavia. All veterans are invited to attend and join. Additional information can be found on the Legion website at bataviapost504.org.
