Kane County Sheriff's Office reports

• Copper wire valued at $300 and four copper ground bars valued at $100 were reported stolen Aug. 23 from a cell tower at 43W830 Seavey Road, Blackberry Township. According to reports, someone used a hammer to break off the door handle to get in, causing $100 damage to the door.

• Kasia S. Passley, 24, of the 1900 block of Tall Oaks Drive, Aurora, was arrested Aug. 25 on two warrants, one from Will County and one from St. Charles, both on retail theft charges. According to reports, Passley got into a dispute with a coworker at the BP station on Jericho Road at Route 47 in Sugar Grove Township, and police were called. Neither wanted to sign a complaint against the other.

• Nathan L. Garcia, 18, of the 900 block of Fenton Street, Aurora, was charged Aug. 28 with purchase or acceptance of liquor by a person under 21. According to reports, when Garcia appeared before Associate Judge Keith Johnson at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, Garcia slurred his speech and smelled of alcohol. When tested, Garcia’s blood alcohol content was .106 percent. Johnson sentenced Garcia to 14 days in jail on an unrelated previous offense.

• Cash in the amount of $500 and a small safe valued at $5 were reported stolen Aug. 28 from a residence in the 46W100 block of Beith Road, Virgil Township. According to reports, the backdoor was left unlocked.
