Chamber Exchanger: St. Charles Chamber events help spread holiday cheer

St. Charles is a magical place to visit during the holidays. If you take a stroll down Main Street, you’ll get a taste of what Christmas is all about.

Residents and business owners take pride in decorating their homes and businesses, which give visitors the chance to admire and appreciate the holiday season.

The St. Charles Chamber of Commerce had two festive events in December. The chamber held its Holiday Party, hosted by the Women’s Business Council, at Dunham Woods Riding Club on Dec. 7. There were wonderful appetizers and holiday cheer.

Christmas isn’t just decorating your house with lights, ornaments and garland, but decorating yourself with holiday cheer. For those looking for a fun event to proudly show off their ugly Christmas sweater, the Young Professionals Council hosted the fifth Ugly Sweater Holiday Party on Dec. 14 at Main Street Pub in St. Charles.

The St. Charles Chamber will be having its 96th annual Charlemagne Award Dinner on Feb. 2. We recognize and honor a lifetime of achievements – a person who has dedicated his or her time, efforts and talent to making this community the great place it is to live, work and play.

The Charlemagne Award is one of the most prestigious awards to be given out. We are thrilled as always to reveal our recipient this year. St. Charles is lucky to have such wonderful and dedicated community members who make it their priority to better this community.

Happy holidays from the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce, and thank you to the businesses and community for all of their support this year. Follow us on social media to stay up to date about Chamber happenings!
