In addition to pastas, such as calamari with spaghetti and fettuccine with chicken, asparagus and mushrooms in a cream sauce, the restaurant offers a pick-your-own-pasta combination and two gnocchi dishes. Entrees include chicken Marsala smothered with mushrooms in a wine sauce, as well as seafood dishes.
Because of the couple's background, he said the menu includes a lot of Sicilian recipes, such as the caponata appetizer prepared with eggplant, olives, capers, celery, onion and sauce.
For a Sicilian street-food appetizer, he said he makes his own arancini, or rice balls. They are stuffed with peas, ground beef, onions, carrots and garlic and then deep-fried. A gluten-free variety can be ordered in advance.
