May brings the last month to the school year and, for many, graduation. A time for celebration indeed! For those celebrating a graduate, a birthday or any occasion, shop local for gifts and party essentials. Convenient, excellent customer service and keeping the dollar in Geneva is a reason to celebrate in itself.
Or do you need to give a gift? A Geneva gift certificate is a thoughtful way to say “thank you for a great year” to a teacher, coach or graduate. Accepted at more than 160 shops, restaurants and businesses, Geneva gift certificates are convenient, never expire and support local businesses.
Greased Lightning Golf Outing
You are the one we want at Geneva Chamber’s Greased Lightning Golf Outing. Whether you are a T-Bird or a Pink Lady, join us at Royal Hawk Country Club on June 4 for a “Grease” time. Register at golfinvite.com/genevachamber or call 630-232-6060 for information. All are welcome to attend.
Looking for dining options
As the sun starts to rise a little earlier and stay up a little later, dining al fresco becomes quite desirable. The views of spring in Geneva are remarkable. With many restaurants now offering this choice, it may be hard to choose. Our website, genevachamber.com, lists excellent dining options and includes a link to the restaurant’s website along with a mapping feature to assist you in finding the exact location to start out your evening.
Of course, Geneva Chamber’s website is also the first stop for shopping and lodging information, not to mention a guide to events in Geneva. On our calendar for this summer: Swedish Days, June 19 through 24; Geneva Arts Fair, July 28 and 29; RiverPark Concert Series, July; Geneva Concours d’Elegance, Aug. 26; and Classic Car Shows in July and August, to mention just a few. Start marking your calendars now for all the fun and excitement!
Registration is ongoing for the Swedish Days 5K, marching in the Swedish Days Parade and the Granquist Music Competition held on the Saturday of Swedish Days. Information can be found at genevachamber.com.
Garage sale a success
Thank you to the more than 100 community members who signed up for the Geneva ABC City-Wide Garage Sale. The weather cooperated, and the sales were busy. Not only did you make some money, a portion of your registration fee went toward supporting the Swedish Days Grand Parade!
What a fabulous community we live in.
