ABOUT: Campton Township and Corron Farm Preservation Society will host Prairie Fest, featuring tours of the 1850s Corron Farm home, exhibits, tractor-pulled wagon rides, cannon firing on the hour, children's activities and square dancing demonstrations from 1 to 3 p.m. Local honey and cheese, as well as jewelry, will be for sale. A noon dedication is planned to honor Corron Farm being listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

ABOUT: An opening reception is planned for "A Fox River Testimony" exhibit by plein air artist Joel Sheesley, who completed 73 Fox River landscapes painted in a two-year period in all seasons between West Dundee and Ottawa. The show is presented by the Schingoethe Center in partnership with The Conservation Foundation's Fox River Initiative. ABOUT: A youth production of "Peter Pan" will be presented by Playhouse 38. The adaptation captures the magic surrounding Peter and Wendy's adventures in Neverland, based on the book by J.M. Barrie. ABOUT: Lazarus House sponsors its first “The Need is Now” community concert starring Betsy Petrie & The Souvenirs playing long-lost classic songs of the 1960s through '80s. Coolers, blankets and chairs are welcome. Audience members will learn more about Lazarus House, a nonprofit emergency shelter, center for transitional living and outreach program. It provides hospitality, food, safe shelter and support to men, women and children who are homeless or in crisis from Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles and western rural Kane County.
