Batavia resident Cynthia Kieckhefer, 60, was in St. Charles when she answered questions for the Kane County Chronicle's Brenda Schory.

Kieckhefer: I worked at an animal clinic as a kennel girl.
Schory: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Kieckhefer: I wanted to own my own business, but I ended up as a registered nurse.

Schory: Favorite charity?
Kieckhefer: I support Mutual Ground through the Batavia Woman’s Club. Schory: What is an interesting fact about yourself?
Kieckhefer: I went to Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights and I was with 12 madrigals singing Christmas carols to Chicago Mayor Richard J. Daley in his office when I was 16. I was singing a high soprano part and it was hard for me. He gave me a thumbs up and winked at me. I was so giddy.
