[From his work desk, Bob Cratchit (James Edward Dauphin) monitors the uneasy interaction between Scrooge's visiting nephew, Fred (Devon Ortiz, seated), and his uncle.]
Tomell: Josh, given your voice as the ebullient Ghost of Christmas Present, do you regularly perform?
Josh Brown of Batavia: I heard about this role from Ron Gustin [of Batavia]. I thought it would be a fun idea to get involved [as] I'm new to the area. [I acted] in high school.
Tomell: JP, you worked on Josh's elaborate, fur-edged robe – voluminous enough for the big reveal of the two children: Ignorance and Want.
Quirk of South Elgin: It's my favorite costume. My mother and I put it together – made from scratch.
Tomell: Elizabeth, this show appears a labor of love for all involved.
Hilgart: Everybody has come in and pitched in and worked really hard and gone home and worked on it. They've made big choices and it's coming together.
The cast also features Autumn Burns of Geneva; Lisa Adams and Stephanie Benic, both of St. Charles; Zach Falvo, Naomi Gustin, Bill Tarver and son Seth Tarver, all of Batavia; Taylor Beling of North Aurora; Casey Cramer of Naperville; Linda Lindwurm of Schaumburg; and Jeannine Collins of Carol Stream.
