CASA Kane County is honoring Larry and Paula Hayes of Anchor Spa & Pool Inc. of Huntley as the Children’s Champion couple for the 'Places You'll Go' gala fundraiser March 2.

GENEVA –  CASA Kane County’s annual Children’s Champion Celebration will be held at 5:30 p.m. March 2 at the Q Center, 1405 N. Fifth Ave., St. Charles, the agency announced in a news release.

This celebration event helps raise funds so CASA can continue serving all children coming into abuse/neglect and probate courts.

Tickets are $200 per person and available through CASA’s website, www.casakanecounty.org.

All proceeds will go to the advocacy and support of more than 500 abused and neglected children CASA Kane County services each year.

Nearly 900 guests are expected for the event, which includes live entertainment from the band SODA, dinner, dancing and auction items.

The auction items include travel packages on a private plane, private and one-of-a-kind upscale dining experiences, popular high-end Chicago sporting team tickets and VIP theatre packages with luxury transportation, the release stated.

CASA Executive Director Gloria Kelley stated in the release that the theme for this year, “The Places You’ll Go” is reflective on a global and local scale to bring awareness to the community to help vulnerable youth.

“Abuse and neglect is a global concern and CASA Kane County strives to be proactive in our community, but it is everyone’s duty to play a part,” Kelley stated in the release.

“We have an amazing amount of camaraderie with so many selfless individuals involved with the organization, Kelley stated. “They work so hard together for such a great cause and they never cease to amaze me that they are always asking what more they can do to help. All of these wonderful people have such a contagious ‘all-in’ attitude with an ongoing passion for children who have been abused and/or neglected.”

Larry and Paula Hayes of Anchor Spa & Pool Inc. of Huntley are the Children’s Champion couple and Michael and Rosalind Lusk, of Lusk Law LLC of Geneva and Sojourn Salon in North Aurora are the Honorary Chairs.

Raffle tickets for one of five prizes are available for purchase from Development and Event Coordinator Stephanie Marlatt at 630-444-3108.
