MAPLE PARK – Illinois Equine Humane Center is hosting its 2nd annual Silent Auction and Farm Festival from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 14 at the equine rescue and adoption center at 47W635 Beith Road, Maple Park.
The event is being held to celebrate the Illinois Equine Humane Center's 11 years of horse rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming and advocacy.
Bidding for the silent auction will open in the indoor riding arena at 5 p.m. with auction items ranging from resort getaway packages, gift baskets, unique horseracing memorabilia, artwork and more. Attendees will enjoy music by Outpatience, hors d’oeuvres, chocolate fountain and a cash bar. Silent Auction winners to be announced between 8-9 p.m.
Tickets are available to purchase in advance from the ILEHC website www.ilehc.org, adults are $20, children are $10 and under 6 are free. Tickets will also be available on the door. All tickets will be eligible for the door entry prizes.
ILEHC, a non-for-profit charity was created in 2008 to rescue horses from neglect and misuse. According to a news release, since its founding, ILEHC has rescued countless numbers of horses; rehabilitating and re-homing wherever possible or providing sanctuary.
