SUGAR GROVE – A habitat restoration work day at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve in Sugar Grove is scheduled for Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers will be targeting honeysuckle and other invasive plants, according to a press release. Tools are provided but volunteers may bring their own loppers and hand cutters.

The release states that removing invasive species will help sustain the unique native of Bliss Woods.

Volunteers are asked to dress for the weather in layers, including winter work gloves and sturdy, warm foot gear. The group will meet at the Kedeka Road entrance, in the parking lot of Templo Belem at 42W635 Kedeka Road.

Refreshments will be available at the break. Anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. For further information, email Mary Ochsenschlager at maryoxie@sbcglobal.net or call Robb at the Kane County Forest Preserve at 630-232-5980.
