UPDATE: Batavia woman with Alzheimer's disease safely located

BATAVIA – Batavia Police have announced that a 57-year-old Batavia woman with Alzheimer's disease has been safely located, according to a news release from the Batavia Police Department.

At approximately 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, the Batavia Police Department received a report of the missing adult female, Dawn M. Peskind, of the 2500 block of Williams Road.

Family had reported Peskind missing Wednesday after last having contact with her at 4 p.m., the release stated.

Peskind had been entered into the Law Enforcement Agency Database System as Missing / Endangered because of her medical condition, the release stated. A Silver Alert had been requested through Illinois State Police.
