January Electronics Recycling Event Special

SPONSORED

Was a new computer or television waiting under the tree for you this Christmas season?

If so, you likely have an outdated model you’re looking to get rid of.

Elgin Recycling can help take those items off your hands during its January Special Electronics Events at each of the company’s four locations. The events will take place on the remaining Saturdays in January (1/13, 1/20 and 1/27), and will be open from 8am to 1pm.

All electronics will be accepted for free, televisions and computer monitors will be recycled at a discounted rate of $15 for those under 21 inches, and $25 for those 21 inches and over.

To determine size and recycling fee, measure screens diagonally from inside corner to inside corner.

Of note: the special Saturday prices are not valid on wood console and rear projection televisions.

Elgin Recycling also accepts all types of cell phones within the company’s mobile device recycling/resale platform, to determine the value of your cell phone call their main number with the make, model and condition of the phone.

The family-owned and operated business is able to offer its customers efficient and secure electronic recycling services which in turn helps to divert e-waste from local landfills.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, recycling one million laptops saves the energy equivalent to the electricity used by more than 3,500 US homes in a year. And, according to EPA officials, for every million cell phones which are recycled, 35,000 pounds of copper, 772 pounds of silver, 75 pounds of gold and 33 pounds of palladium can be recovered.

Let Elgin Recycling help you reduce your environmental footprint by recycling your end of life items with them today.
