BATAVIA – The Winterfest Art Market is a collaboration by Water Street Studios and Artisan Collective Batavia to present a juried collection of fine art at affordable prices from Dec. 13 to 15.
The event is set at Water Street Studios at 160 S. Water St., and launches with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. opening day. Other hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 14 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 15.
“This event unites our community together during the holiday season by supporting artists and artisans,” WSS Executive Director Danielle Hollis stated in a release.
“It’s a privilege to open our historic venue for our community to explore the curated gallery walls and artist studios, all while getting their holiday shopping wrapped up. This is an experiential event you don’t want to miss,” Hollis continued in the release.
Twenty artisan vendors and 25 resident artists will offer handmade jewelry, candles, soaps and a wide array of items. And the upstairs gallery will show the “Chicagoland 4x5 Art Exhibition” displaying nearly 200 pieces of artwork by Chicago area students.
Winterfest admission is free. Guests can enjoy food and coffee vendors and a cash bar featuring beer by Solemn Oath Brewery alongside wine and cocktail options.
Water Street Studios also will host holiday art workshops for all ages; visit the website at waterstreetstudios.org.
