ST. CHARLES – The Fox Valley Aero Club Swap Meet, described as the largest in the area, will feature every level of remote-control planes, helicopters, cars, drones and boats from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Kane County Fairgrounds in St. Charles. Foamy and light electric indoor flying follows from 1 to 4 p.m.
There will be more than 125 tables on display in the 15,000 square feet of trade show space.
One can shop slightly used, but highly discounted engines, accessories, kits and ready-to-fly planes or custom RC cars, a news release stated. It is an opportunity for the public to buy overstocked and leftover items from experienced hobbyists, dealers and web vendors. The bargains target people as young as 10, all the way to the retired but young at heart, according to the release.
"If you enjoy the best deals, love to barter and bargain, head for the Kane County Fairgrounds," organizers stated in the release.
Admission costs $5 per adult and is free for children age 12 and younger at the fairgrounds at 525 Randall Road. To learn more about the swap meet and all of the hobbyist club's programs, visit foxvalleyaero.com.
