Kane Sheriff hosts 'Humanizing the Incarcerated'

Free event scheduled Feb. 26

AURORA – Kane County Sheriff Ron Hain is hosting an event called Humanizing the Incarcerated from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora, his office announced.

Hain, along with Nathan Lanthrum of Lighthouse Recovery will lead a discussion on racial disparity in jail populations, measures to provide true corrections, a road map to improved criminal justice and community relations and case studies of local jail detainees.

The event is free, but registration is requested through eventbrite.com.
