These are the latest Kane County Sheriff’s reports:

• The rear windshield of a 1997 Chevrolet Suburban valued at $500 was reported shattered and a Ring doorbell valued at $150 were reported damaged Aug. 1 at a house in the 35W300 block of Catalpa Avenue, St. Charles Township. A front door and frame were also reported damaged. Video from the Ring doorbell showed a white man approaching the front door and ripping the camera off the wall, the report stated. The residents said they initially thought there was a burglary in progress when the door was kicked in and the resident’s new boyfriend fought with the intruder – who turned out to be the ex-boyfriend – and he left. Deputies contacted the ex-boyfriend and told him he was not welcome at that property any more, the report stated.

• Barbara A. Lamberton, 31, of the 46W600 block of Main Street, Kaneville, was charged July 30 with two counts of domestic battery. Richard W. Graham, 34, of the same address, was taken into custody for violation of a bond release in which he was not supposed to be at that address.

• A resident of the 7N500 block of Foxglove Court, St. Charles Township, reported June 29 that a $12,635 payment he made to a roofing company had not been received. The company told customers someone hacked into their email account and told customers to send payments to a different bank account. The resident's bank got his money returned and then he directed it to the correct account.
